After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up in our transportation
to head towards Maras; where we will begin our horseback riding experience.
Before starting the ride we will have a talk about the world of horseback riding and the characteristics of the Peruvian Paso horse, after a demonstration of Peruvian horsemanship, we will have a time to familiarize ourselves with our respective horses.
We will begin our ride through spectacular landscapes, panoramic views and observing ancestral agricultural activities towards the Huaypo lagoon, where we will have a picnic lunch on the shores of the lagoon.
After the picnic we will continue our journey to the colonial town of Huarocondo,
where we will spend the night in a camp.
Huarocondo is a colonial town characterized by the famous piglet and its imposing colonial temple.
After breakfast and tasting the characteristic piglet of Huarocondo, we will continue with our horseback ride to the Zurite terraces, an important archaeological complex where the Inca terrace system is still used for agricultural experimentation.
After visiting the terrace system, we will go to our picnic spot, where
our horses will also take advantage of the opportunity to rest and hydrate.
We will continue our journey to the community of Misminay where we will have the experience and interaction with the peasant community where they will show us their traditions,
customs and their local living culture. The inhabitants will offer us their houses and lodgings properly equipped.
After a delicious breakfast prepared and made with organic products from the area, we will have a small exhibition of Andean textiles where they will explain the manufacturing process and its iconography.
After the farewell ceremony, we will return to our traveling companions; our horses to continue the journey to the Inca experimentation center "Moray" where we will have the privilege of having a panoramic aerial view of the four circumferences of Moray. Then we will go to a traditional restaurant where we will have the opportunity to try Pachamanca and typical food from the area.
Then we will return with our horses to go to the Pachar hotel where we will enjoy the comfort of the hotel and after a delicious hot bath we will have dinner at the same hotel.
After a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, we will continue our journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, riding along the banks of the Willcamayu River (Sacred River) to reach the restaurant where we will have a farewell buffet lunch.
After the delicious buffet lunch, we will continue on our horses towards the salt mines “Salineras de Maras”, impressive salt mines where salt is still produced using ancient and ancient techniques. After visiting the mines, we will get back on our horses to do the last leg of our equestrian experience towards the colonial town of Maras.
Where we will finally have to say goodbye to our travel companions, our horses and all the equipment to take the transport to the hotel.
